Each task had to move through three labeling stages. Every stage used one worker, and the same worker couldn’t handle the same task twice.
The code had to assign work, print activity timestamps, and return the total time. It was a greedy simulation problem. There was no requirement to find the fastest possible schedule. In one example with two tasks, both a three-minute schedule and a four-minute schedule were accepted.
They were rejected after the phone screen.
You can practice the Task/Worker Assignment Model on FastPrep.
