Scale AI New Grad SWE Follow-Suit Card Game Interview

The starter code included Card and Hand classes, along with Python enums.

The visible parts of the task used a follow-suit card game. Fives were worth five points. Tens and kings were worth ten points. Other cards were worth zero. The highest card in the suit that started the trick won, and that player started the next trick. Players could choose any legal card, and they didn’t need to build a playing strategy.

There was a lot to code, so speed mattered. They passed the phone screen. The first part of the task wasn’t included in the post.
