Scale AI New Grad ML Research Engineer Interview Process

Applied online in January. A recruiter call followed in early February and covered the company, the role, and the rest of the interview process.

The first technical step was a deep-learning take-home assignment. A computer-vision or NLP version could be selected based on preference.

The next step was a technical phone screen with a research engineer. The expected skills included NumPy, Matplotlib, SciPy, and statistics. The round also included a deep dive into previous work or deep-learning architectures.

Three onsite interviews were planned after the phone screen but had not happened when the report was posted.
