Google New Grad Recruiting Delay: Passed R1 but Waiting a Month for a POC

The candidate completed Google's OA and interview in November 2025 and was told in early December that R1 had passed.

A recruiter then said a new recruiting point of contact would be assigned. The introduction happened in mid-December, but the candidate received no reply for more than a month despite several polite follow-ups with the recruiting team.

During the holiday period, the candidate was told that delays were expected. After the holidays ended, the process was still blocked with no next interview scheduled.

The candidate asked whether it was reasonable to request a different recruiter or point of contact and whether doing so could hurt the application.

No replies, interview questions, or final resolution were preserved. This post records a recruiting-process delay rather than a technical interview.
