Role: Software Engineer, New Grad / Early Career
Result: Final outcome not disclosed
Report time: November 2025
The behavioral interview had originally been scheduled with coding but was moved one week later. The interviewer did not ask about the resume and used direct questions from a visible list.
Questions and follow-ups
- What was your biggest challenge?
- The candidate described an unexpected internship incident.
- Follow-up: how was the improvement measured? The candidate cited growth visible in a dashboard.
- What difficulty did you overcome?
- The candidate described fixing an internship bug.
- Follow-ups asked about remediation afterward; the candidate wrote a document and raised it in a meeting.
- What did you do during the past year to improve yourself?
- Ongoing English practice, technical blogging, and open-source work.
- Follow-up: which open-source project and how did it solve a real problem?
- Describe a conflict.
- The candidate used data and examples to support an approach.
- Follow-ups asked what else was done, why the other person held their view, and how trust was built.
The questions ended after about 40 minutes, leaving five minutes for the candidate to ask about the interviewer's favorite project and team communication style.
The candidate felt this was their best behavioral interview because the interviewer was energetic, the prompts were direct, and the keywords clearly signaled the expected story type.
